Track your energy savings at aps.com
Nov 18If you are an APS customer in Arizona, you should really be tracking your energy intake on www.aps.com. It’s very simple, and surprisingly user-friendly. All you have to do is log into your account to see how much energy you’ve been using, the cost of that energy, and how much you’ve been using on what.
For example, one local resident’s screen tells her she spent $17 on lights, $172 on cooling, $15 on cooking, and so on. Imagine she checks the following month and sees that the cost of cooking has gone up to $52. Now she knows that something is wrong — someone is leaving the stove on, there is some kind of energy leak, perhaps an aging appliance is juicing the outlets.
When you know how much you are using in energy each month, especially on heating and cooling your home in Arizona, you will have a much better idea of how much money you will be saving when you install a solar water heater or get a solar panel install in Phoenix. After all, of you have no idea where you were when you began, how can you possibly know how far you’ve come!
Check in frequently for deals mentioned on the blog, and don’t forget about our solar equipment giveaway! We’ll announce the winner in mid-December, so get your name in the hat now before time runs out! you can message your name and info for consideration to @AdairSolar on Twitter, to Adair Solar on Facebook, or comment here and we’ll get right back to you. Good luck one and all!
